Muslim Mosque, Inc.
The Muslim Mosque, Inc. was created four days after Malcolm split from the NOI. This organization argued that African-Americans will never fit into the "white American mainstream", but instead they introduced a new but well-established idea: relocation. They said that blacks could either relocate to the South or move to their native land, Africa. This organization is the starting point for Malcolm's Pan-African movement.
"But the political philosophy of the Muslim Mosque will be black nationalism, the economic philosophy will be black nationalism, and the social philosophy will be black nationalism."

Pan Africanism and The OAAU
The idea of the black population of the United States moving back to their homeland in Africa is called Pan-Africanism. Malcolm supported this idea, in his OAAU founding speech, arguing that when the African nations had untied to form the OAU, they successfully achieved a revolution. In 1964, he founded the OAAU, a secular group of blacks dedicated to human rights. Malcolm declared:
"freedom, equality, justice and dignity [as] central objectives."[3]

Malcolm grew to great popularity with his organization. After the OAAU was established, the OAU pledged to support the efforts of the new organization. Malcolm met with several African leaders such as President Kwame Nkrumah of Ghana. Malcolm talked about merging the movement of black human rights with the African liberation movement. Malcolm didn’t manage to completely merge the two but he did raise awareness of the Pan-African movement.
"Just ten years ago on the African continent, our people were colonized ... And in a short time, they have gained more independence, more recognition, more respect as human beings than you and I have."[3]
